Training Your Downline

Training and supporting your downline is extremely important.  If you leave them on your own, they’re probably not going to produce very much.  The best way to keep them motivated and working hard is to hold regular training meetings and give them all of the one-on-one and group help you can.

I suggest holding weekly meetings for all of your local downline, as well as monthly online webinars for your downline members around the world.  Not only will these meetings keep them reminded constantly that they have a job to do, but you can also train them on ways to perform better, recruit more people, and get more sales made!

I suggest scheduling meetings on a staggered schedule so you can get in as many people as possible.  Many of your downline will have day jobs, and some of them will be working different shifts.  I suggest holding one meeting per month on a weekend day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening.  This way you have the best possible chance for all of your members to make it to at least one meeting per month.

During these meetings I suggest letting members share their success stories, and also share their problems for you and other members to help them sort through.  The success stories will serve as motivation for those who are new or struggling, and the problems will serve to show that everyone is human and no one is perfect.  It’s a great balance.

Each week you should discuss new ways to find prospects, marketing methods, and other things that will help them increase their business.  Remember, if your downline members are successful, YOU are successful.  So yes, you’re working very hard to provide free training, but in return your members will use the free training to make more money for YOU.  This is one reason why so few people succeed in MLM… they get into the mindset of, “Why should I give THEM training for FREE?  Isn’t my time valuable?”

Yes, your time IS valuable.  This is exactly WHY you should provide your downline with the training they need!  Think about it for a moment.  If you don’t provide them with the training they need, they probably won’t produce much.  If they don’t produce much, then the effort you put into recruiting them in in vain!  So make sure your members are well-trained and fully-supported.  You’ll be richly rewarded for your efforts in the long run!

Bringing Prospects to You

Prospecting is one of the hardest things to do in any MLM program, and it’s also the most vital.  If you can’t bring in a steady stream of prospects, your business won’t get very far.  But if you spend your days actively searching for new prospects, you won’t have time for much else!

But there’s a way to keep a steady stream of prospects coming in that you can recruit into your downline, without having to spend each day meeting people and actively recruiting!

The secret is getting a system in place that gets prospects coming to YOU instead of you having to get out there and actively seek THEM out.  While this isn’t particularly easy to do, it’s certainly not that difficult.

What it takes is making yourself as attractive to prospects as possible by positioning yourself as an expert in your field.  You have to get your name out there, establish your authority, and then make an effort to provide them with something they can’t get elsewhere.

Here are a few ways to accomplish this:

  1. Create a comprehensive course on how to market your particular system and give it away to your prospects.
  2. Publish a newsletter about MLM with valuable information, and get as many FREE subscribers as possible.
  3. Write articles for article directories, magazines, blogs, and anyone else who will publish them, linking to your recruiting website.
  4. Create a blog with exceptional MLM-related articles and recruit prospects from it.
  5. Give interviews to various MLM magazines and blogs in exchange for promoting yourself as an expert.
  6. Hold free seminars online and offline.

Do you see the pattern?  You’re offering truly exceptional information for FREE.  The purpose of this is that word will get around about truly excellent content.  Other people will spread the word, and soon you’ll have people seeking YOU out because they heard you’re an expert and you offer excellent free material.  This is how you get people coming to YOU.

MLM Success

The world of the Internet brings recruiting to your fingertips allowing you to collect emails…

THAT’S RIGHT - ALLOWING YOU TO COLLECT EMAILS

…yes I know I said it again and the reason I did so is that it is so important!

Growing your MLM business online is going to become VERY popular over the next few years. As more and more people figure out how simple it is to build HUGE organizations using online MLM strategies…there will be many people placing their MLM businesses online.

Step 1 – When building your MLM business online, you have the ability to CREATE your own leads. Creating your own leads is by far the most sure fire way to talk to the most interested prospects there are.

When you create your own leads, you are generating only prospects who are already interested in what you have to offer. It doesn’t get any more targeted then that!

Online you also have the ability to drive massive amounts of traffic to your lead capture pages, and produce massive amounts of new prospects for your MLM business. The more prospects you have, the quicker your business is going to explode.

Step 2 – Create a back end marketing system that automates your business. When building your MLM business online, you can use entirely automated systems to educated and inform your prospects.

Interested prospects are entered into a marketing campaign where your sales information is marketed to them for you automatically. You simply set it up once, with what messages you want to send them, and it is completely hands off from there.

Obviously the more you test your marketing funnel, and find the most powerful converting messages, the more people you are going to convert into business partners. But the point is, building your MLM business online allows you to automate the entire process. You can even have the sign up into the business straight from one of your websites, and you will only be calling prospects to introduce yourself once they have joined your team.

Closing Prospects

First create the necessity for them to join the program, via identifying their problems and how making money in MLM will help them. Once a prospective client realizes this they are probably ready to take action.

The main key is all about building up the feeling of better self worth and a better overall life. If you don’t know how to do it already, you must learn how to talk to people; they must feel as if you’re a true leader.

People love this and take note. If you are presenting to a woman, ask about kids, if a man, ask about providing for his family, and ask both about where they want their financial future to be.

This is what drives people. People look down the road and think to themselves -

- Where will I be?

- How will I live?

- Will I retire when I want to?

- Will I have a college fund for my children?

This is where you want to weasel your way into the minds of people and find out what drives them. Is it money, family, retirement or the idea of a better life?

These are all important and as soon as you identify what it is that truly drive them, that’s it! You home in and focus on that underlying motivation.

Challenge them to do something different, say you can’t do the same thing over and over again and expect different results.

Many times people are scared or perhaps stuck in a groove. They want to leave that 9-5, but they are scared of the uncertain outcome that a decision like that could bring.

Challenge them and challenge them again. Some times people need to be told over and over again and pushed and made to believe there is a better life for them out there. Many times it is up to you to do that for them.

Choosing The Right Opportunity

When it comes to picking a MLM company, you want to set yourself up for success. When you are presented with an opportunity, you’ll want to take some time to look around to ensure that there is a great training and support team around this MLM business. A good example would be the Reverse Funnel System.

You will also want to make sure that the pipeline of the business is well managed.

Make sure that there is great ongoing training for all new people coming in on the lower downlines. This is extremely important when it comes to any home-based MLM business. Ask around, go to a meeting before hand, conduct and participate in a conference meeting call. Get to know the other people in the MLM business and ask questions, always ask plenty of questions.

These are all learning steps. You must learn to crawl before you can walk, and this knowledge is invaluable. Starting slowly and with an established MLM system will pay off 100 Times more then if you simply dove in without any knowledge of the basic business structure and commission and pay guidelines.

The key to becoming successful in the MLM business is to get in with the right people, and have unwavering focus and follow through. MLM is a people and numbers business just like any other business. Finding the right people to join in with can prove to make or break your home MLM business.

Finding a great product is also a main concern but not the stress of your work load. The real money made in MLM is from networking with people. Set up and be organized.
Make sure that your lower downline members keep a steady stream on new incoming members and continuous product sales. Think outside of the box and be creative. Profit will far outweigh labor with the correct, training, proper production, and people management skills.

Any successful home-based MLM opportunity has three qualities;

Control of time and money, continual salary, and steady growth.

By trying to control your time, you can reap from your efforts. When comparing MLM opportunities, think of yourself first. Choose a business that will sell not one that fits your interests and talents.

Do not think you can be molded to fit others. Examine what you want and find a suitable business with a great payment structure that will get you there. Many times your life experiences can add greatly to a company’s offerings to create a perfect blend. Take time to select the MLM opportunity that is right for you.

Handling Rejection

When dealing with rejection, don’t take it as a personal attack on you. They are simply not ready for the opportunity

*Ask if you can contact them every three to six months, this is highly important. Remember all of your prospects are people just like you and me. Just because a potential prospect says no that, that does not mean it is the end of the road, it’s actually only the beginning, sometimes someone can’t just take the time from their life to start something new.

Maybe they have personal priorities that they cannot cast aside at the moment.

However this does not mean that they won’t be ready in three months from now, or 6 months. What does this do? It adds to your potential prospects list. Now you ask them can you call them in three months, in 6 months to later talk more times then not they will say yes.

Make sure with every prospect that you are speaking with you are collecting at least their email address, and phone number, if possible.

This is highly important and very vital to your long-term success.

Presenting The Opportunity

Always remember; “It’s not about you, it’s all about them.” So when you are presenting your opportunity, give them just the bare minimum introduction about yourself and something about why you’re there.

An example would be:

“Hey, thanks for fitting me into your schedule. I know you’re busy. I’m really excited about what I’m going to show you tonight/today. It’s totally changing my financial future.”

You then ask them some questions about who they are; what they do; what challenges life may be throwing up for them etc.

Only after you feel you know why they are looking at your business do you get to show them your presentation.

Here are some hints:

* Don’t make it too long.

* Don’t get into too much detail, intrigue is key!

* Don’t get hung up on the compensation plan (unless you’ve got an information hound).

* Just briefly show them retail profits, recruitment, commissions on downline sales and realistically how much they can expect to make in six months, a year etc. if they put in the time and effort.

* Show them the big picture too but don’t frighten them off with numbers. Many people have a hard time believing they can make $10,000 in one month.

As you go along make sure to draw them in with questions:

“Do you see how that works?” “Do you see how this could help you solve… (Recap one of their needs here)?”

Then you wrap up with:

“So that’s how it works…what benefits do you see here for yourself?”

Here’s where you ask for Questions:

“Do you have any questions?”

Answer the question and then say:

“OK! And other than that is there anything else you’d like to know?”

Answer all of their questions and then ask the enrollment question:

Enrollment: This is really simple… you just flow into it.

“Great, if you don’t have any more question then let’s get you Started today!!”

Pull out your enrollment form, look them square in the eye, pick up your pen and ask:

“OK, let’s start at the top. What’s the correct spelling of your first name?”

If it hasn’t come up before, you can just about beat the question of “How much will it cost?” which is invariably going to come up.

Answer that question and quickly explain the options and ask: “Which one of those options seems most appropriate for you?”

You just keep looping back here; as the last minute questions come up, you answer them and go right back to the paper work. Do it this way and you’ll sign up a lot of people!

Prospecting

I am going to give you the inside scoop on what you can do to attain ultimate prospect success. I’m going to describe the old way of prospecting and the new way to prospect.

THE OLD PROSPECTING METHODS

Many old time multi-level marketers would provide the following advice to you:

Write down on a piece of paper a note like this: “Hey, man I can’t believe how much money this guy was making. He had a 2009 BMW, and he was only 20, he said he works with <INSERT YOUR MLM COMPANY> and that I should call him @ <YOUR PHONE NUMBER>”

Drop these notes on the ground everywhere you go!! People will see on the ground and pick them up and read them. They will think they are getting some super secret information. Imagine how little children act if they intercept a love note in class. This is the same thing here! Many people who find these notes will get hyped and then give you a call.

Do you have a car? If so great, go get a sticker made up with your MLM business and phone number with website and post that on your car! Car marketing has been proven to attract people from all walks of life and funnel prospects into your MLM business. You are basically driving a billboard.

Another option is business cards, and they are not expensive at all. The first thing would be to make up 1,000 business cards and leave them everywhere. You go to a baseball game you leave them all over, someone hit’s a home run you throw them in the air. This may sound ridiculous, but…

TRUST ME IT WORKS!

Dinner tables in restaurants, in bathroom stalls on the floor, leave them everywhere. Think of it as throwing seeds on the ground, some places the seeds will just stay there and be ignored, but in some places the hungry birds will home in on, and then eagerly devour the seeds!

Yet another low cost advertising medium is the newspaper classifieds ads. The best time to run your ad is between Sunday and Wednesday this is when many people who are looking for work are looking.

THE NEW PROSPECTING METHOD

Find an established marketing system and follow the guidance they provide.

Many of the top online MLM systems no longer require you to spend hours on the phone of or dropping business cards everywhere. Instead they show you how to prospect smarter not harder. That’s what makes the Reverse Funnel System so unique. It truly is a marketing machine that can be put on autopilot.

Building Your Downline

While there is money to be made in MLM from direct product sales, the people who are making $5000 per week, aren’t selling, they are prospecting. Prospecting means approaching as many people as you can with the MLM opportunity, in an effort to build your downline.

However there are several issues that keep many MLM’ers stuck and stagnant. One of these is cold and hard rejection! Does anyone ever say NO to you? Does it happen all the time? Let me tell you this, when it comes to MLM, no one is ever rejecting YOU personally. They are rejecting the MLM opportunity or more importantly the way you presented it.

Never take any of this personally; this will hurt your business in the long run. The reality is that 98% of the world won’t get started with you, no matter what you sell, or how you present it. People get involved in MLM and Network Marketing because of the money, period.

They want a little extra dough to take the kids to Disneyland. They want something that takes a small amount of time and effort and shows a quick return. It’s a lot to ask really. Most people have no experience in marketing but want a return right away. The harsh truth is you must give that to them or they will quit within 30 days.

So the million-dollar question is:

“How do I get them in my downline and make them profitable right away?

It’s very simple. Give them something of value for free. It can be an eBook or a seminar. In my case I give people a whole marketing system. Make a special offer like “free personal coaching” When the people step forward at your presentations, call them up and ask them why they want to work with you, put them on the spot and see how they handle pressure and uncomfortable situations.

Keep an aura about yourself that projects that YOU are important. Once they finish telling you why they want to work with you then put them on a conference call. A conference call takes personal selling out of the equation. At this point they will either like your business or not but chances are they will get started no matter what because you are “the man.”

Most people are followers and want to be lead so making them come to you makes you look like the leader. At this point answer a few questions or do a quick 3-way conference call to your powerhouse upline and get the credit card info.

The greatest part about this is your whole team can duplicate it. Anybody can build a downline with some help. Maybe the offer this time is to be coached by “both” of you so the prospect will be impressed and then you answer the questions after the presentation. The only question is how much you want to talk to people, and how much money you want to make.

I get about 20 people a day who call or email me because I am perceived to be an authority. When people are coming to you, especially when you are new, it is WAY easier to introduce them to something. They are far less likely to be resistant.

Should you recruit your warm market like friends and family?

This is such a bad idea when first starting off in MLM networking. Many MLM opportunities tell you that you should start here. They tell you that in the first 30 days you should focus your efforts on trying to attract your friends and family to your business.

WRONG!!!

Acquire success first then your warm market will come to you. Invest your time in prospecting, networking and building your MLM business organization so that way you have a much easier time funneling in your warm market into you business, after they have seen your HUGE commission checks.

One way to quickly establish yourself and eliminate many of the normal MLM obstacles is to join a proven system such as the company I’m a part of - the

Reverse Funnel System. I love this system because it was truly designed to get even the newest multi-level marketer on a faster glide path to online MLM success.

MLM Introduction

December 21, 2008 by admin

Have you taken your shot at MLM and Network marketing? If you haven’t, then you’re missing out on a world of opportunity that waits at your doorstep. In this first chapter I will briefly go over and give you an outline of what exactly makes people start their own network marketing business or join an established MLM business such as the Reverse Funnel System

Now let me begin by stating that “NO” two people are alike in the MLM business!

However, there are some shared personality traits that are common to those who have started and operated in MLM already.

One of the most common personalities that many people share among MLM business people is their entrepreneurial spirit.

What are some of these traits that make up a successful MLM entrepreneur?

MLM TRAIT #1: THE SELF-STARTER

Self-starters are the type of people who do not just sit around thinking about something over and over again while taking no action to get things done.

They decide on what needs to be done and simply do it. Take this example. You are in need of your own MLM website but your income limits you from just hiring a web design company to make that site. As a self-starter, you would go to work about gathering all the information pertinent to web design and development.

Then you would develop and design your site. In the end you would have a website that you have developed yourself unless you have a company that designs everything for you such as The Reverse Funnel System

One vital trait of a self-starter is to know their strengths and weaknesses and be able to accept them.

MLM TRAIT #2: THE SELF-MOTIVATOR

The self-motivated individual has a lot of motivation and drive that they can call on from within anytime the “going gets rough/” Because each person is a unique being, one person’s motivations may be different from everyone else’s.

For example, your motivation for starting your MLM business could be to earn $500 or $1,000 per month or $10,000 or $20,000 per month. Or it could be that you want to home school your kids and that requires earning an income working from home.

Your level of motivation will be dependent upon your purpose and level of commitment. It depends on how big your dream is, and how bad you want to achieve it.

This is why a MLM business is such a great opportunity not only to make money but to actually change your life forever!!”

MLM TRAIT #3: THE CREATOR

The creative individual has a lot of amazing ideas. They are usually able to come up with great ideas and problem solving solutions. Many of their ideas are often the results of listening and observing other business that is related to MLM.

They focus on finding solutions, rather than dwelling on the challenges. For example, if you have a limited advertising budget, you would get to work finding all the available free advertising avenues instead of thinking over and over how limited your budget is. Your creativity would result in expanding your MLM advertising program. You would also have the knowledge from research.

Thus, resolving the problem and creating an additional income.

MLM TRAIT #4: THE SELF-DISCIPLINED

The self-disciplined person is one who does not need someone standing over them to produce results. Or having someone tell them what, how, when and where to do it. They do not need anyone telling to get something done. They are able to determine what needs to be done, then set aside time to do it.

Any MLM business may fail; in fact many do the first time around. However, this should never get you down, as it will only make your success story more amazing! The self-disciplined individual does not accept that they are a failure.

They simply learn from the mistakes and use them as a tool to attain never-ending success!!

MLM TRAIT #5: THE CHAMELEON

As an entrepreneur in MLM you should be able to adapt. You will find yourself playing different roles such as: marketer, promoter, public relations, motivator, sponsor, webmaster…and so forth. You are not afraid of changes and are opened and flexible to them.

Successful MLM businesses are not built over night but over time. As a MLM entrepreneur you are willing to go the extra mile, put forth the time and effort needed to build a successful business organization. If you do this, you WILL create the life you have dreamed of!
